Halloween Party!
Ghosts, goblins, ghouls—and what’s that?! Mr. Heartwell with long hair?!?! The boo-house was scary, the treats delicious, the games entertaining, and the fun worth coming back from the dead for.

Dad’s Lunch
Every year, the girls invite their fathers in to enjoy lunch and ice cream at school. What a treat to have a special midday meeting with dad!

7th Grade Science Class
The 7th grade used a liter of water to illustrate the distribution of fresh and salt water on the Earth. Less than 3% of earth’s water is fresh – please conserve!

5th Grade Fraction Rap
The “Fraction Rap” is a catchy song we learned to help us remember how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. It was really creative and fun. Plus we got 5 points extra credit for singing it in front of the whole school!

Writer’s Eye
Over the past two weeks the girls visited the University of Virginia Art Museum for the Writer’s Eye competition. Each girl will now write a story based upon one of the pieces of art she saw. The applicants to the competition are divided by age group and winners will be announced in January.
