Our class is wrote plays about social change. Each group took a fairytale and changed something about it. One group took “The Little Red Hen,” and changed it to “The Little Red Head.” Their play was about a class that you get to see grow up from kindergarten to college. Another group used the fairy tale “The Three Princes.” They changed the story so that it examined stereotypes (”hot” guys, nerds, etc.). The third group did the fairytale “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” They changed the genders of Snow White and the handsome Prince to show that you can do anything, no matter what your gender. Overall, the plays were exciting, fun, and very creative! –Grace Bostic, 7th Grade
