Big Sister–Little Sisters

Big Sisters--Little Sisters

As part of a long tradition at Village School, rising 5th graders are paired with rising 8th graders as “little sisters” and “big sisters.” Big sisters help welcome their little sisters to Village School, and the two often pair up for for special events throughout the year.

Class of 2014

Next year’s class of 5th graders came for pizza dinner on Wednesday. They got to meet their “big sisters,” get Village School t-shirts, play games, and eat cake. What a great time welcoming our new class of strong, independent girls!

Girls’ Night Out

Girls' Night Out

On Thursday, April 1, Village School held its benefit concert for The Haven at First and Main, Girls’ Night Out. The music was wonderful. Thanks so much to Erin James for organizing the event and thanks to Erin, our own student Jayme, Genna Matthew, Carleigh Nesbit, and Jan Smith for their outstanding performances. And, of course, thanks to all who bought tickets and made donations–we raised nearly $2,000 for The Haven and its worthy cause.
